Microsoft recently displayed a truly cross platform game at TechEd Middle East. The game, Indiana Jones, ran on Windows 7, Xbox 360 and Windows Mobile 7.
The game reported above was developed in Microsoft Visual Studio and has almost same code for all the three platforms except a few changes like gamepad support for the Xbox, mouse/keyboard support for Windows 7 and touch screen support for Mobile devices running Windows.
What’s amazing is that you can save the game on one platform and continue playing it on another.
This demo certainly gives something to think to aspiring game developers as they can now develop a game that will run on all platforms. What do you say?
